President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor yesterday insisted that Nigeria shall remain a one and united country despite the current secutity challenges.
Delivering the sermon of a special prayer church service in the Plateau State capital, Jos yesterday, the CAN president urged Christians to be united in payer for a peaceful Nigeria.
He said: “Nigeria shall remain one. I urge the church to pray for Nigeria. Let’s raise the standard for this country. The Church needs to remain one so that our prayer can be effective.”
Oritsejafor urged Nigerians to imbibe the fear of God in their lives.
“The problem with Nigeria is we don’t fear God. We sit at a round-table and discuss something but do something else when we come out. You must take your Christianity to the office, to the market, everywhere you go because God is everywhere. Don’t go to Church on Sunday and leave, saying, ‘God, goodbye, till next Sunday,” he said.
“Go everywhere with the consciousness of God and do always what is pleasing to him and beneficial to mankind,” the CAN President emphasized.
