According to him, one Mansur Mohammad, a notorious motorcycle thief was arrested alongside a gang of 15 which he recruited for such operation.
The commissioner said a team of detectives led by Kolo Yusuf who were on surveillance patrol at Bachirawa quarters arrested two suspects, Suraju Usman and Abdullahi Ibrahim, for being in possession of three stolen vehicles.
He explained that three other suspects were also arrested with a local pistol, two rounds of ammunition and one AK 47 assault rifle, while on a robbery operation.
Daura said, recently, a team of policemen on patrol in Dorayi quarters caught one Lawal Sani from Katsina State and Sai Yakubu, and while searching them, discovered two local pistols and 40 cartridges, and upon interrogation, they confessed that they were in Kano to carry out robbery attack in the metropolis.
